SSM Health-SLUCare is seeking an experienced advanced practice provider to join our growing service line. SLUCare represents the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, known for leading-edge care and groundbreaking research. This inpatient position will work in the ICU.
Job Highlights:
- Will work collaboratively with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and the multi-disciplinary teams to deliver advanced clinical care to adult patients recovering from complex cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacement, and ECMO support
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops and initiates treatment plans, manages mechanical circulatory device support (VV/VA ECMO, IABP, Impella device), titrates vasoactive medications
- Performs procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube insertion and management, pacemaker management
- Participates in multi-disciplinary rounds, engages in quality improvement initiatives, and provides patient/family education
- Anticipate (3) 12–13-hour shifts per week with weekend rotation of 1:5 and holiday rotation.
- No Call/No Nights.
Qualifications:
- Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
- ICU experience is a plus
- Nurse Practitioner must be Acute Care Certified or Certified Physician Assistant
