ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a BC/BE Internal Medicine Physician to join its established, hospital-based Cardiology team as a Cardiac Hospitalist.

About the Position

• Provide inpatient cardiovascular disease care while working 2,100 clinical hours per year in shifts of 12 hours
• Excellent opportunity to remain a dedicated hospitalist while focusing the scope of work to patients with primary cardiac diagnoses
• Work in close collaboration with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and non-invasive cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and advanced practice clinicians to provide effective co-management of patients
• Duties include new admissions, acute care, overnight supervision/call, while providing support for patients with heart related conditions
• Primary service cap at 16 patients for daytime rounding while opportunity for daily cardiology input

About the Team

ChristianaCare Cardiovascular Consultants is a large, progressive, hospital-based cardiology group that includes 25 cardiologists and 16 advanced practice clinicians. The section of Cardiology also includes diverse community-based practices. The practice setting offers busy clinical practice, opportunities to participate in teaching of Cardiology Fellows and House staff, and engagement in clinical research. The Center for Heart and Vascular Health at Christiana Hospital sees on average 1,800 chest pain admissions and performs over 3,000 cardiac catheterizations, 1,400 PCIs, 1,600 EP procedures and 880 cardiac surgical procedures annually. The Center also provides advanced heart failure services including placement and management of left-ventricular assist devices. ChristianaCare is affiliated with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. In addition, the Center partners with Pennsylvania Hospital for cardiac transplantation and transplant medicine services.

Annual Compensation Range $315,378.00 - $420,031.00

The above compensation range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting for full-time hours in the respective specialty. The actual compensation within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation the fair market value for physician services in the relevant specialty and the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, credentials, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements. The compensation range listed may encompass various forms of applicable compensation for this position, including, but not limited to, productivity incentives, value-based incentives and other ancillary forms of compensation dependent upon operational factors such as hours worked, call coverage and other factors. ChristianaCare will offer compensation at an appropriate point within the above range or, less frequently, may offer a level of compensation outside the listed range as warranted by the circumstances.
