Position Summary
University Health in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking an exceptional clinical electrophysiologist to serve as Medical Director of Adult Congenital Cardiac Electrophysiology and help expand our Adult Electrophysiology Service line across multiple campuses. This is a unique leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing, multidisciplinary Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program that is on track for ACHA accreditation. The role also supports the development of our new Cardiovascular Center (CVC) as University Health expands to a four-hospital system.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and grow the Adult Electrophysiology service line, including multiple clinic locations.
Provide advanced EP expertise in complex ablations, lead extractions, conduction system pacing, CRT-D, S-ICD, and leadless pacemakers.
Collaborate closely with ACHD, general, and interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, imaging, heart failure, and anesthesia teams.
Partner with pediatric EP colleagues to ensure seamless care transitions for congenital patients.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, program development, quality initiatives, and clinical research.
Teach and mentor cardiology fellows.

Qualifications
Board Certified in Adult Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
Minimum 5 years of independent practice (congenital/complex EP experience preferred).
Expertise in complex ablations and lead extraction required.
Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
