Join A Well-Established Pediatric Critical Care Practice In A City That Offers Something For Everyone
Responsibilities
We are seeking a 5th BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join our practice at The Children's Medical Center at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Summerlin, NV.
12-bed PICU (expanding to 16 beds) with an average daily census of seven (winter months 12+)
Full pediatric subspecialty support
Busy sedation service
The pediatric floor has 24 peds med/surg beds and 17 peds hem/onc beds and are covered by our affiliated group of pediatric hospitalists
Dedicated pediatric ED
Only pediatric rheumatology and pediatric hem/onc services in town
Resident teaching opportunities
Summerlin, a suburb of Las Vegas, has all the amenities of a large city but with a small-town feel. The area offers lots of outdoor activities and beautiful parks for kids. Within 30 minutes you can be at Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston and the Valley of Fire for skiing and hiking. It's an exciting time to live here as the city, known as the entertainment capital of the World, is becoming more unified through cultural opportunities (Smith Center), professional sports, (Las Vegas Raiders and the Vegas Golden Knights), and a new medical school. The area is home to 357 public schools along with over 40 large private schools. The cost of living is affordable and there is no state income tax.
