Job Summary:
Independently works off assessment skills to activate patient care protocols to deliver patient care within his/her full scope of practice as defined by the state of Tennessee and LifeFlight's scope of practice. Maintains compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Safety transport patients utilizing Vanderbilt and Unit specific safety, policy and procedure and accreditation standards. Maintains equipment per regulatory and compliance standards. Responsible for effective communication to ensure safe and quality patient care with team, transport and handover.

BLS certification
PHTLS, EVOC certifications required within first year of employment.

Licensed TN Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Required)
National Registry/KY License (required to complete by the end of orientation)

Job requirements include.
Medical crew members must be able to twist, bend and provide patient care in confined spaces.
Must be able to tolerate stressors of transport, including, but not limited to, excessive motion, vibration, and extreme temperatures.
Must maintain weight so as to fit into the seat belts / shoulder harnesses as provided by the ambulance manufacturer without modification to those safety devices.
Key Responsibilities
Complete documentation of transports/patient care performed using Vanderbilt and Unit specific compliance policy. Safely transport patients utilizing Vanderbilt and Unit specific safety policy and accreditation standards. Maintains equipment per regulatory and compliance standards.
