Nemours Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Chair of the Department of Pediatric Anesthesia to lead our growing team.

The department has 18 full-time physicians and provides anesthesiology services for over 15,000 cases per year. Members of the department are strongly encouraged to apply for Mayo Clinic Faculty appointments. Our division is home to an accredited Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship program, under the sponsorship of Mayo Clinic, and is focused on providing excellence in training for the next generation of Pediatric Anesthesia physicians. Candidates with interests in Cardiac and Pain Medicine are encouraged to apply.

Nemours Children's Health, Jacksonville has a long-standing affiliation with Wolfson Children's Hospital and our clinic and ambulatory space are directly connected via skybridge to the hospital and ORs/SPU. The clinical side of the group runs in a private practice style with academic opportunities. We have an excellent clinical trials team, and research opportunities abound as data and trials can span all 4 sites within the integrated Nemours organization. Wolfson Children's Hospital is the top destination in the region for premature and critically ill newborns. The Level IV NICU provides the highest level of intensive care designated in Florida. Functioning in a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, our Pediatric Anesthesiologists work cases including unique neurosurgery procedures, congenital heart disease repair, complex airway and tumors.

Qualified candidates will be:

• ABA Certified in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology
• Eligible for unrestricted Florida Medical License
• Experienced with a progressive track record of leadership
• Able to build upon the strong partnership with our surgical colleagues
• Able to partner effectively with our award-winning partner Wolfson Children's Hospital
