The University of Minnesota, Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PACCS) seeks an Assistant Professor faculty on the Clinician or Academic Track.
Position Highlights:

This clinician scholar faculty member will devote 100% effort to providing high quality clinical activities including critical care and pulmonary, with some concurrent education of trainees.

The clinical effort will be at University of Minnesota Medical Center and Clinics and Surgery and Center but will include time at other Fairview Southdale Hospital and potentially some outreach pulmonary clinics and critical care medicine service to patients.

The faculty will participate actively and contribute to PACCS Division and Department of Medicine academic and clinical programs in pulmonary and critical care. It is encouraged that the faculty develop an area of focus and expertise, developing a regional (or larger) reputation. Current areas of Division need are in critical care and in the management of chronic lung diseases, including interstitial lung diseases, airways disease (COPD, asthma, CF), and lung transplantation. Faculty would participate actively in the relevant multi-disciplinary programs.

Faculty will be expected to assist in multi-investigator studies in pulmonary and/or critical care.

Participation in the Division's clinical and research conferences, Fellow's Journal Club and core curriculum lectures and teaching of students, residents and fellows is expected. Clinical effort may be reduced with participation in salary-supported activities (program leadership, educational roles, etc.).

This position is ideal for recently trained, clinically adept pulmonologist-intensivists who are interested in building a high quality clinical practice with a significant educational component across both academic and community settings.
Qualifications:

Applicants must have an M.D. and have demonstrated high-level qualifications and in-depth knowledge in the area of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

Board eligible or certified in both Pulmonary and Critical Care areas.

Licensed or ability to obtain medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.

Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.?
