JOB SUMMARY: 

Our extraordinary team of professionals are responsible for supporting physicians by performing critical cardiovascular procedures within the Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab. 

The individual selected for this role will be responsible for monitoring and documenting patient vital signs to include ECG, intra and extra cardiac arterial and venous pressures, as well as performing daily QI on equipment such as angiography and fluoroscopy. As crucial members of the team, the technicians assist in scrubbing, injecting, and set-up for Adult and Pediatric diagnostic procedures.

For candidates that are unable to meet the 30 minute on-call requirement, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical will assist with lodging costs, paid by the department. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Either: (A) Graduate of an approved Invasive Cardiovascular Program; or (B) 2 years of Interventional Cardiac Catheterization lab experience; or (C) Graduate of an approved RT Program plus 2 years of Cardiac Catheterization lab experience required.
Must obtain RCIS certification with 18 months of date of hire.
Must obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS within 3-6 months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

Able to sit/stand/walk frequently.

Able to lift 0-10 lbs. constantly; 11-50 lbs. occasionally.
Able to carry 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-35 lbs. occasionally.
Able to push 0-10 lbs. constantly; 11-75 lbs. occasionally.
Able to pull 0-10 lbs. frequently; 11-75 lbs. occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.

Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
