Your day.

As a CV Sonographer, you need to know how to:

• Performs diagnostic echo procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.



• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.




• Provides patient education.




• Differentiates normal and abnormal structures; assures that sufficient information has been acquired for a comprehensive exam. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Document and communicate patient related information thoroughly and accurately. 




• Within the scope of the job, it requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.  Must be teamwork oriented.




• Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy and efficiency. 




• Monitor equipment reliability and safety. Report issues and/or repairs or service due. Order and stock supplies, clean rooms, and equipment to maintain the work environment. 




• Actively participate in quality initiatives.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required


• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT (S) or ARDMS registry, required


• Current Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), required within eighteen (18) months of hire


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required


• Associateâ™s Degree, preferred


• At least one (1) year of ultrasound experience, preferred
