1. Operates and maintains electronic and mechanical anesthesia equipment.
2. Maintains and stocks anesthesia carts and pediatric cart with supplies.
3. Develops, implements, and evaluates new procedures and techniques.
4. Provides assistance to the anesthesiologist with induction and emergence from anesthesia.
5. Maintains records/files and keeps appropriate documentation on anesthesia equipment.
6. Assures appropriate evaluation of supplies/equipment by anesthesiologist.
7. Demonstrates cost-effectiveness in use/purchase of supplies/equipment.
8. Maintains communications with Anesthesia Chief and OR Manager and OR Director.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Required: High school graduate or equivalent required. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. 1 year or greater patient care experience in an acute care setting as a CNA, OR Tech, or LVN required.

Preferred: One completed semester of anatomy/physiology/medical terminology preferred.
