Oversees day-to-day operations of the unit in regards to patient flow and staff activity.
Ensures patient charges are entered daily and errors are corrected immediately.
Prepares budget and assures fiscal soundness of the unit.
Accurately prepares monthly and quarterly reports and presents to designated committee meetings.
Establishes new and maintain existing relationships with local hospitals and physicians in order to expand and strengthen referral bases or contract affiliations. Directly addresses physician concerns/complaints.
Supports and promotes overall vision of specialty services for Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center an affiliate of CHS.
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelorâ™s Degree in Nursing
Three years management experience in an operating room setting
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current RN License to practice in the State of Florida.
Must have a current BLS certification prior to hire date.
Must obtain ACLS and PALS within 60 days of employment. All certifications must be approved by the American Red Cross and/or the American Heart Association. Current license/certification in specialty and in good standing with State Licensing Board.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
Must be able to direct and manage the operations and activities of a multidisciplinary team of techs, aids, PCTâ™s, nurses and physicians in Surgical Services. Responsible for the overall management of departmentâ™s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction. Responsible for meeting all requirements of regulatory bodies. Collaborates with the Director of Marketing in the planning, marketing and new business development for the hospitalâ™s surgical services. Occasional call may be required; must be within 30 minutes of HOFRMC when on call. Responsible for oversight of PAT, SDS, OR, CS, PACU and Endoscopy.
