The University of Florida Department of Anesthesiology seeks committed Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist for a tenure Assistant/Associate/Full Professor or non-tenure track Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor ranks to teach and practice at UF Health Shands Heart, Vascular, and Neuromedicine Hospital, UF Health Shands Hospital, and Shands Cancer Hospital at the University of Florida, a quaternary care teaching facility located in Gainesville, FL (Level I Trauma Center / Congenital Heart Center / Aortic Disease Center / Comprehensive Stroke Center/ Cancer Center / Solid Organ Transplantation / High-Risk OB).

Department anesthesiologists practice at UF Health hospitals in Gainesville, Florida, at the University of Florida alongside 90 faculty anesthesiologists, 95 residents, 20 fellows, and 88 CRNA/AAs.

The department of anesthesiology comprises more than 78 clinical faculty, 11 active research faculty, 95 residents, 20 fellows, 88 CRNAs and CAAs, and a support and administrative staff of 45 people. We are a world-renowned academic department that typically publishes 150+ peer-reviewed publications and is granted approximately 5 U. S. patents each year.
Our faculty are trained in a variety of clinical subspecialties including critical care medicine, pediatrics, congenital heart anesthesiology, neuroanesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, and pain medicine. Research interests of our faculty span clinical and basic science, cognition, simulation training, and neurodegenerative disorders.
