This Physician is in the Cardiology Department within the Medical Service and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The invasive cardiologist has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of cardiac conditions. This physician will perform or assist in related procedures. Cardiology is the discipline whose providers specialize in diagnostics, therapy, management, prophylaxis and research of diseases affecting the heart and circulatory system. The Physician works as a member of the Cardiology Medical team at the Hershel "Woody" Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital. There may be sometimes that the clinician would have to visit a CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings. Duties include, but are not limited to: Conduct weekly Cardiology Clinics Answer inpatient and outpatient consultations Interpret and Generate reports of all Cardiology procedure Includes Supervision of Cardiology Fellows. Perform Cardiac Catheterization There may be other duties as assigned or required. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift, occasional call Financial Disclosure Report: Not required EDRP: This position may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program within VHA. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be authorized Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay)
