Summary

Interventional Radiology Technologist Must have knowledge of all Radiological Interventional procedures, catheters, wires, stents, and equipment. Performs all diagnostic examinations including ER, OR, and portable examinations. Technical skills may include advance computer knowledge used in obtaining diagnostic images. Interventional Radiology Technologist must have the Ability to work extended periods standing wearing a lead apron. Good Communication professional ethics are essential. Interventional Radiology Technologist must have the Ability to handle stress and maintain professionalism Reports and communicates to the supervisor of Interventional Radiology, Medical decisions are directed from the Radiologist and Nuerointerventionlist. Trained for and skilled to perform exams on patients of all ages. Interventional Radiology Technologist Access and utilize the hospital and radiology information systems including PACS. Education

Required: A.R.R.T. approved program (2 years)
Preferred: College A.S. Degree

Experience

Required: Minimum of one year of Hospital Radiology experience preferred

Certifications

Required:

• Certified Radiologic technologist in the State of Florida
• A.R.R.T. Certified
• Current Cardiovascular-Interventional Certification preferred
• BLS required from the American Heart Association
