A non-exempt medical office position that performs nuclear medicine procedures used for diagnosis and treatment
Responsibilities
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Responsible for proper operation of nuclear medicine equipment in performing various complex nuclear cardiology studies.
- Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and/or pharmaceuticals, as directed by nuclear cardiologist, who is an authorized user on the Radioactive Material License (RML).
- Prepare patients for all testing procedures.
- Monitor patient�s electrocardiogram (ECG) and vital signs before, during, and after stress testing, as directed by physician.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nuclear medicine and registered or registry-eligible as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Certification: Completion of Basic 12-Lead ECG and arrhythmia recognition program; BCLS and ACLS certifications.
Experience: Work requires a level knowledge of patient care methods, procedures and techniques. Six Months in Nuclear Cardiology Department
