Cardiac Sonographer Non-Invasive Cardiac Testing Full-Time Days
The professional we select for this important role applies echocardiograph techniques to competently perform all commonly applied procedures according to guideline driven protocols. Demonstrating proficiency in performing these procedures, this individual will ensure that they are performed to quality standards within designated time frames in order to maintain the ideal patient experience. Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinating communications among referring physicians, departmental physicians and staff, nursing units and/or hospital staff to facilitate smooth patient and staff flow in order to facilitate inpatient transportation, scheduling, supply replenishment, equipment repair and problem-solving.
Becoming knowledgeable in the areas of laboratory protocol, measuring heart chamber size and wall thickness, scanning techniques, preliminary interpretation of M-mode, two-dimensional, planar Doppler flow studies, 3D echo, and stress echoes.
Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to learning color flow mapping and newer procedures and mastering them within acceptable time frames.
Fulfilling reading requirements associated with procedures to ensure better understanding of purpose of procedures and how to conduct preliminary interpretations of procedure results.
Two or more years of experience performing echocardiography exams.
RDCS or RCS certification.
Five or more years of experience performing echocardiography exams.
Bachelor's degree in a health science field.
ACLS and CPR certifications.
