Atlantic Medical Group at Overlook Medical Center is seeking to hire a Non -Invasive Cardiologist to join a new practice. Responsibilities General Clinical Cardiology: - Provide Cardiovascular outpatient and inpatient services within the scope of the Physicians license, and in accordance with the goals and by-laws of the Division of Cardiology and AHS/AMG standards policies and procedures consistent with education, license and certification of practice physicians.
- Lead the delivery of quality patient care services meeting or exceeding quality, patient and employee safety, patient satisfaction and regulatory standards in compliance with local, state and federal rule. Meet all Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements
- Through continuous evaluation, modify clinical programs, operating systems and facilities infrastructure to ensure high quality and ongoing improvement of clinical services in conjunction with the Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine/Medical and Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services in collaboration with the Medical Staff.
- Obtain complete history and physical and document findings in a systematic format
- Order, perform and interpret laboratory tests
- Order medications and medical devices as needed
- Participate in night and weekend coverage for the practice through the coverage group in which the physician participates
Conduct appropriate follow up visits to ensure appropriate level of care - Accept and care for indigent and clinic patients in a manner consistent with compassion and ethical care.
Research and Education: - Participate in Cardiovascular research programs.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal growth and education
- Develop and promote educational offerings to enhance Atlantic Healths position of clinical and academic excellence
- Foster cooperative and interdisciplinary research activities.
- Participate in community education outreach plans
Administration and Finance: - Collaborate with the CMO, Chair Division of Cardiology, Service Line Director, Office of Grants & Research, and the Director of Finance with respect to maintaining cost-effective and high-quality programs and operations.
- Ensure that all administrative and financial activities are in compliance with Atlantic Health, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
- Accept all managed care plans accepted by Atlantic Health/AMG.
- Provide input into the appointment and assignment of physicians in the department of cardiovascular medicine.
- Complete required clinical documentation in EMR system in a timely manner, to ensure accurate billing of hospital and professional services.
- Submit all bills for outpatient and inpatient work in accordance with AHS/AMG standards.
Leadership/Professionalism: - Demonstrate transparency and integrity in interactions with physicians and staff, promoting trust in the institutional and section leadership.
- Provide appropriate advocacy for the needs of patients, physicians and staff.
- Communicate and support institutional goals and objectives.
- Promote and demonstrate, by example, the importance of professionalism in all activities of physicians and staff.
- Foster excellent communications, teamwork and cooperation in carrying out the clinical, educational, and scholarly mission of AHS/AMG.
- Work within a complex and competitive environment to gain buy-in and cooperation of all constituents to achieve the goals of system and physician leadership.
- Identify opportunities for new program development (and existing program growth), determine the viability of new opportunities, and implement new plans successfully.
Qualifications -
Qualifications : - Board Certified by the American Board of Cardiology,
- Candidates must be Board Eligible or Certified/ in Echo, Stress and Nuclear
- Valid NJ License,
- Valid CDS and DEA numbers
