You will be responsible for:
Performs cardiovascular imaging, measuring and calculating to determine anatomy, function, and status according to standard of care. Performs doppler studies, assessing direction and degree of cardiac hemodynamics.
Obtains appropriate diagnosis prior to performing exam. Identifies and records pertinent medical history and patient demographics
Monitors and facilitates physician interpretation through active participation in the reading process. Ensures timely processing of preliminary and final reports. Operates and troubleshoots equipment safely and efficiently.
Reviews and coordinates routine daily functions of department, delegating tasks as needed to ensure that all department functions are followed through to completion within productivity mandates.
Orients staff and student interns. Completes student and staff evaluations
Performs basic patient care ensuring patient privacy and safety. Provides comfort measures. Monitors patient condition and reports concerns to primary nurse and/or physician as appropriate.
Assists with budget, service line marketing, policy and program development as well as other operational and growth initiatives.
What You Will Need:
Minimum of 5 years' echocardiography experience.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Must be registered in cardiac ultrasound by either ARDMS or CCI
BLS from American Heart Association
Supervises and ensures the timely and appropriate provision of routine, emergent and critical echocardiographic procedures. Performs adult and geriatric cardiovascular ultrasound. Supervises and assists staff with same. Facilitates study interpretation by cardiology reading panel. Adheres and enforces adherence to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
